Situated within the boundaries of the HL Hall & Sons Estate, just 5km outside Nelspruit, the capital of Mpumalanga, Mataffin Hill Lodge offers a surprisingly tranquil retreat, just 10 minutes' drive from the city centre.

The spacious grounds lend themselves well for use by families with small children or for those wishing to relax between business meetings. The five-en-suite rooms offer smaller groups an exclusive stop-over en-route from Johannesburg to their further game-viewing destinations.

A short drive from the N4 through the Halls orchards brings you to the lodge nestling in a secluded setting of flowering trees with splashes of azaleas. The grounds border a small nature conservancy and heritage site, attracting an abundance of birdlife as well as smaller mammals such as duiker and mongoose.
